Pequods Pizza

Happy Deep Dish Pizza Day!! We had to take it to Chitown for THE best deep dish pizza around. There is a lot of competition, but no one does it like Pequods. This extra crispy, borderline burnt, caramelized crust (mozzarella cooked around the edge of a cast-iron pan) and the savory sauce is a killer combo!

Around since 1970, they have done a great job establishing a cult following. With two locations, including the original in the north suburbs of Chicago, Pequods has maintained its loyal customer base by consistently delivering world class pizza without skimping on any ingredients. This is the perfect place for a low key date night, or even a family night out with kids. They have since added thin crust pizza to the menu which is just as fabulous. Our favorite-when all the rules are out the window and we’re looking for a splurge (life is all about balance, right?)- is the deep dish with extra pepperoni and jalapeño peppers. Trust and believe, you will finish every last bite!

We couldn’t go without mentioning the other worthy, local competition- Lou Malnati’s and Giordano’s. If you are in town- make it fun and do a pizza tour to taste all three. Just don’t make any big plans after because you will be #stuffed!!
