Selena Gomez has been in the spotlight since her Disney days. But she has come a long way since then, and we are so excited to feature Ms. Gomez in our next Spotlight Series!

What started out as a career in acting at a very young age, has evolved into a multifaceted empire including a newly founded impact fund with a focus on mental health. In 2020, Selena launched her Rare Beauty line. The goal was to challenge unrealistic standards in the beauty industry. She saw a strong connection between the way we speak about beauty, and mental health. Rare Beauty was developed to shine a light on uniqueness, individuality and to celebrate self-acceptance and the beauty in imperfections.

While facing her own mental health struggles, Selena became aware of the critical role support and mental health education play in each person’s journey. She launched the Rare Impact fund as an extension of Rare Beauty, with the goal of raising $100 million over the next decade to give access to mental health services in educational settings. The website includes resources and educational information to raise awareness around this important topic.

Selena Gomez has been a force, with a career that has spanned television, movies, pop stardom and much more. Her latest role is alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short, in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, dropping soon! This will be her first scripted television role since Wizards of Waverly Place. This highly anticipated comedy series will showcase Selena’s ability to truly master anything she does.
