Wild Tongues Can’t Be Tamed
We are very excited about the next in our #bookvibes series! In honor of National Hispanic Heritage month, which runs from September 15 to October 15, we are putting the spotlight on the soon to be released Wild Tongues Can’t Be Tamed. This gem is dropping on November 2 and can be pre-ordered here. It is edited by Saraciea J. Fennell, founder of The Bronx Is Reading and an influential writer and book publicist in her own right.
What makes this highly anticipated book so special is the 15 voices behind the essays, from an array of cultural backgrounds, compiled to make up this unique book. The focus is on the Latinx diaspora and an examination of myths and stereotypes that exist. There is no topic off limits- everything from identity, mental health, racism, language and the significance of family and food in this community is covered. It is real accounts of both inner and outer struggles, as well as a celebration of this vibrant community.
This book is a must-read with a very raw and personal approach that is sure to connect with readers on so many levels. We can’t think of a better read to celebrate #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth.
