In keeping with the spirit of International Women’s Day yesterday, the next in our #bookvibes edition is a collection highlighting fearless women who pioneered and inspired in Science, Art, and Sports. These books are a must-read for everyone- adults and children alike. We are thrilled to put the spotlight on this collection and reveal why it is at the top of our books to share list!

Women In Science: This book showcases fifty fearless pioneers who changed the world. These trailblazing women have made notable contributions to the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The book also contains infographics to highlight important statistics as well as an illustrated scientific glossary. Figures from the ancient to the modern world are profiled such as well known primatologist Jane Goodall, to the lesser known Alice Ball who developed the only working cure for Leprosy until antibiotics were discovered in 1940.

Women In Art: Another inspiring book, this time filled with fifty creatives who made great achievements in the arts. This beautifully illustrated piece of work reminds us how many women artists have shaped the world and paved the way for the next generation. Revered figures like painter Frida Kahlo are highlighted as well as the lesser known fashion designer, Jeanne Paquin, who was a pioneer in Haute Couture and made the color black fashionable! The book also includes colorful information about the principles of art and design, as well as important statistics about women’s representation in the art world.

Women In Sports: The third book in this collection focuses on fifty female athletes from the 1800s to today. The trailblazers include Olympians, such as gymnast Simone Biles, and Keiko Fukuda, the highest-ranking female judoka in history. She achieved her 10th dan in 2011, at age 98! After many years of fighting for equality in the sport of Judo, Fukuda left a lasting impact to pave the way for little girls with big dreams everywhere. This book highlights key statistics as well, and provides information on topics such as muscle anatomy and influential sports teams.

This collection is a true celebration of women and what is possible. It is incredibly inspiring and a wonderful portal into the power of women!
