Vision Board-ing

If you’ve never created a vision board, the start of a new year is the perfect time to jump right in. Vision Boards allow you to really see and feel what your VISION is, for not only the upcoming year but also the future. We are sharing our favorite method of Vision Board-ing!

Why Vision Board?

A Vision Board is goals come to life!  Once you are comfortable with your annual goals, the next step is to think of the visualization of these goals.  Focus on key segments of your life, for example family, finances, career, health, etc.  The act of creating a vision board helps with the manifestation of the goals, essentially making your thoughts a reality using your emotions, beliefs, and actions.

Dream + Feel

Next it’s important to take the time to sit quietly with your goals and really dream big.  This is your chance to throw out any limiting beliefs and focus on what is possible.  Once you have a good idea of these dreams and goals, it is time to FEEL!  Sit and live in the actual feeling of you achieving these goals (getting a raise, new relationship, buying a new home, etc).  Then focus on words and pictures that make these feelings come to life.  This is what will drive the creation of the actual vision board.

 Get Crafty

Now it’s our favorite part- putting everything together.  Gather magazines,   stickers, markers, scissors, glue stick, and other things you can easily find at a craft store.  Start going through the magazines one by one looking for inspiration that is aligned with your goals and feelings.  This may be successful or accomplished people, quotes, and other pictures that make you feel good, and motivated.

Start cutting things out and placing them on the board until you are comfortable with how everything is laid out.  Then, stick everything on as the very last step.

Put It To Work

Now that you’re done with the vision board, it’s time to think about where to place this new creation. Find a place you will see daily that is not a shared space if possible.  You can even take a picture of it and have it on your phone or laptop to easily access daily.  It’s great to look at this every morning to help motivate and keep top of mind what you are working towards, and set daily intentions.

This is a meaningful + super fun project that is great for kids too. Get started TODAY!
