Four Hundred Souls

In honor of Black History Month, and in the spirit of learning and growing, we are kicking off our new #bookvibes edition with Four Hundred Souls, by editors Ibram X. Kendi (author of How to Be an Antiracist) and Keisha N. Blain (author of Set the World on Fire)! This book is an incredibly unique approach to exploring the history of African Americans. Kendi and Blain have assembled ninety amazing contributors to tell a "community history" of the journey of African Americans from 1619 to the present. Each of these writers takes on five years of the four hundred year span, for a total of 10 sections in the book.
